— LinkedIn RecommendationMy name is Billy Miecuna — full name William L. Miecuna, Jr. I'm an AV Engineering professional from Mineola, NY with 11+ years of hands-on experience in broadcast operations, video production, executive corporate AV support, video editing, and live streaming.
Currently I serve as AV Systems Engineer at FIRST Agency, embedded in the AV Engineering Department supporting Google across their New York City campus — from Pier 57 to Chelsea, Hudson, 111 8th Avenue, and 315 Hudson. My daily work spans computer networking, systems integration, IT troubleshooting, and designing long-term solutions that improve event operations and reliability.
My path has taken me through the full broadcast ecosystem: field operations at NY1 News during breaking news events, video editing and robotic cameras at Fox News Channel, master control for Spectrum News covering more than a dozen markets, webcasting and virtual events for Wall Street Webcasting and OpenExchange (Dell, Xylem), and deep AV/IT engineering for one of the world's most demanding tech clients.
I started experimenting with iMovie and Photoshop at age six, joined Great Neck Public Schools Television in 2011, and have never looked back. I believe in sharing knowledge, building airtight standards, and turning around critical malfunctions with calm precision.
Outside the control room: adventurous hiker, baseball fan, and always happy to meet over coffee. Specialties include AVIT support, live streaming, webcasting, video editing, videoconferencing integration, documentation, and workflow design. Reach me at billy@billymiecuna.com.
